I am a licensed tattoo artist with a degree in fine art practicing the age-old technique of hand poked tattooing.

Hand poked tattoos have a vintage look that reminds me of lithograph print work like the illustrations you'd find in old texts. 

I love the control i have with this method as well as the degree of detail i can achieve. I use different dot sizes and varied density to create shading effects. 

Hand poked tattoos take more time than tattoos done with a gun. however, this method is easier on your body (no heavy vibrations/loud buzzing), heals faster, and allows for an amazing amount of detail. 

i often schedule multiple sittings to complete tattoos with lots of detail and or color. this allows for careful planning and precision.
